For the study abroad experience to count as an immersion experience the student must take two courses in their language of focus and live in a homestay/non-dormitory experience.
Lafayette offers two faculty-led Engineering Study Abroad programs: one in Madrid, Spain and one in Bonn, Germany. In these programs, approximately 20-25 students (primarily Engineering) and one faculty member will study with an affiliated institution abroad.
If there are any questions about whether the study abroad experience will count as an immersion experience, please contact the chair of the Dual Degree Program.
*Only summer can count for the immersion experience.
