For more than 150 years, Lafayette has been known for its excellent engineering programs that blend a world-class technical education with the broad education of a liberal arts college.
We feature hands-on projects and research that prepare students for industry or graduate school. Housed in the state-of-the-art Acopian Engineering Center, the division offers five bachelor of science degrees, one bachelor of arts degree, and several minor programs. The division also offers a dual degree program in international studies that may be earned along with a bachelor of science degree.
Lafayette engineering has been a worldwide leader in offering fully integrated study abroad programs for well over two decades. Approximately one-third of our engineering students spend a semester studying abroad and another third participate in a short-term study abroad program, while still graduating in four years.

The Gateway Career Center provides a personalized, four-year career-development program that helps students prepare for life after graduation. Employers include Dow Chemical Company, ExxonMobil, IBM, Google (Alphabet), Boeing, Citigroup, Lutron, Merck & Company, Turner Construction, Proctor and Gamble, Picatinny Arsenal, Johnson & Johnson, Stryker, U.S. Department of Justice, and many others.
